Information for Donors

Donations are always welcome, either food or cash. We always need money to buy food, and we make a dollar go a long way by buying and receiving free food from the Contra Costa/Solano Food Bank and from grocery outlets.

What’s needed?
Canned fruits and vegetables, rice, beans, soups, pasta, cereal (cold or hot), fruit juices, boxes of macaroni and cheese, garden produce, snacks, peanut butter, etc.

What we cannot accept:
Outdated food, and cans and jars of food that have been opened. Please check the “sell-by” date before donating.

How to donate food:
Drop it off at the ACS Food Pantry, 816 Grayson Road, Pleasant Hill during Pantry hours on Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon, or call the church office at 925-934-5803 for other arrangements. We will provide a receipt for tax purposes.

Organize a Food Drive:
This is a wonderful way to supplement the Pantry’s supply and to spread the word about this important community resource. Encourage a school, church, or other community organization to conduct a food drive.

Donating Money:
Checks should be made out to Adventist Community Services (PH-ACS) and mailed to Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, 800 Grayson Road, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.

Donating Online:
You can now donate online. Please go www.pleasanthilladventist.org and click on “online giving.” Click on the Registration link for first-time users, and follow the instructions from there.
